Are you seeking knowledge yourself or helping others? In other words, are you guiding others in their lives or getting guidance from others? It’s quite a deep and meaningful thing to think about for many of you, especially for those who have a high sense of intelligence.
Some people are gifted with high intelligence; they see and observe much more deeply and more clearly. Their source of knowledge is not just reading but they also learn a lot from their experiences and even more from observing others. They seek and accumulate knowledge over time, they learn and they grow.
At certain age, they realize that other people are learning from them. They see people changing their life direction just by their few words or one piece of advice. And so, people try to get close to them, not because they have anything else to offer but because they are the source of their knowledge and guidance. And they know they are guiding people in their circles and taking care of them.
However, they also find it fascinating to meet people who can teach them, who are more knowledgeable, or who have different life experiences. They are amazed to see people living in another dimension, who see the world from a different perspective.
And so, here they are with this question; am I learning or am I helping others to learn?
The answer is that there is no answer to this. In fact, there is no such question. “I am not helping at all! I see people learning from me, I see people are growing in every aspect through my knowledge and guidance but it doesn’t make me a life coach. I am like the rain. I am not raining because Mother Earth needs me… I am raining because I am rain. I never helped anyone, I’m not serving and therefore nobody owes me anything.”
And have you ever pondered the beauty of the rain? It nurtures seeds to germinate and plants to grow, helping some to bloom into beautiful flowers and others to become mighty trees. The rain showers its drops but never force them change”
And if rain could speak and we could ask it questions like, “What makes you so humble? How did you achieve this level of selflessness?” The rain might refer to its very existence. The rain might say, “It’s not me, it’s the clouds. I was not there until the clouds came.”
And so, guiding people in their lives doesn’t make one superior, and learning doesn’t make one inferior. There is no shame in learning from anyone. It doesn’t make you any less nor does it make the other more.
However, people are different. Some seek knowledge actively, while others absorb it silently. They might learn to see the world through your eyes. Your view and your perception might be enough for them to learn and understand. Let them pick and choose, and let them learn what they want to learn.
Also, one cannot gift knowledge to someone whenever they want.
That’s because knowledge is all about timing. One might say something really meaningful but if it’s not the right time, the listener might not catch it. He or she might not be ready yet to understand what you are trying to say. That’s probably why we can’t change people. They learn and change over time. Learning is a process, it’s a journey and so change is also a journey. In fact, we all are growing over time, we are changing over time. That’s how we function in life, that’s how we operate.
On the contrary, you might meet someone who might understand everything you say. From nowhere, you might see a great connection with them. It might look like you have part of a puzzle and he or she has the other part of it. Both of you synchronize without any resistance or conflict.
If you are lucky enough to have such an experience with someone, it’s a great treasure. This is a person, who will take your knowledge to the next level. You might get access to all the knowledge that you have been accumulating in your subconscious mind.
Perhaps you can bring up all your life theories and discuss every detail of them. Also, you might want to ask questions relating to an idea or certain concept. He or she might already know what you have been trying to understand.
These kinds of things rarely happen and nobody really knows why or how, but if we try to understand it in the form of visualization, it might look something like this: People travel in knowledge through certain paths. People with similar intellectual interests choose to travel the same paths of knowledge. Those paths give the same opportunities to their travelers, opportunities to think of similar concepts or ideas.
Therefore, some might already understand certain concepts and others might be on their way to understanding them. That’s why meeting someone from the same path is a treasure because you might understand things much quicker through him or her. Also, some might choose to go deep in certain concepts and some might choose to go deep in other concepts. That’s why both of the individuals might partially know those concepts and that’s the reason why they feel the synchronization.
Now that we have talked about these knowledge paths, lets try to go a bit deep in this discussion.
So, here is the question, are we making those knowledge paths or are we following the existing paths? In other words, does knowledge exist already and we humans are merely seeking it, or is human mankind creating it right now at this very moment?
Perhaps you might want to answer this carefully. The question might seem like a foolish one but your choice of answer might matter.
If you say that knowledge is already there and you are just seeking it, you are essentially trying to understand something that is already there. For a curious mind, this answer is an invitation to think more. In fact, you might be tempted to think non-stop.
But if you choose the latter answer, it might help you to stop thinking. There is nothing to think of, there is nothing to discover and there is nothing to understand. It’s you who is creating it right now. And therefore, you have the choice and authority over your mind. You can stop thinking whenever you want!
Close your eyes and say, “I don’t want to create knowledge anymore.” Enjoy the silence in your head!
