How To Be Goal Oriented
Let’s assume that only a hundred thousand people are living in this world. And one of them is Lorensson.
Now, we all know that people are different from each other in terms of their nature. So, let’s divide these hundred thousand people on the following three bases.

A. Optimistic Well-Wisher
Let’s assume that out of the hundred thousand people, ten thousand are optimistic and well-wishers of Lorensson. If Lorensson tries to do something praiseworthy, these people won’t hesitate to praise or encourage him. Similarly, if he ever succeeds, they will be there to clap for him. And, if he fails to achieve what he wants, they will motivate him to try again. In short, they’ll always have his back and support.
B. Jealous
Now, let’s move on to the next group of people. In this case, we will assume that there are twenty thousand people who are jealous of Lorensson. These people always try to drag him down and just can’t think positively of him. No matter what he tries to do, they try their best to stop him. And if he fails, they lie about their true motives and tell him that they were trying to stop him because they thought failure was highly likely. In other words, you could say that they never miss any chance to disappoint him.
C. Pessimistic Well-Wisher
Next, comes the pessimistic well-wisher group. Let’s assume that there are ten thousand of them. These are people who, when Lorensson tries to do something, behave like jealous people. They try to stop him by telling him that he can’t do it, not because they are jealous, but they are pessimistic by nature. They are not sure about Lorensson’s determination, and they don’t trust his confidence. And they are not limited to Lorensson in their way of thinking. In fact, they behave the same about their own matters too. However, they are different than jealous in the sense that when Lorensson succeeds, they cheer for him because they are his well-wishers.
Strangers
Talking about the rest of the sixty thousand people, they don’t know Lorensson at all, and he doesn’t know them either. So, they are complete strangers for all intents and purposes.
We are all surrounded by these four kinds of people even though we might not realize it. What’s interesting is that we behave differently around these four types of people. To understand exactly how, we could create four different kinds of Lorenssons and then see how each one behaves with the four types of people.
Lorensson No 1
The first Lorensson spends a lot of time proving to the twenty thousand jealous people and ten thousand pessimistic well-wishers that he is capable of doing everything in this life. And that he is not a failure of a person. He also tries his best to take care of those ten thousand positive-minded people so that they keep praising him for his efforts.
Since Lorensson doesn’t know the rest of the sixty thousand people, and they don’t know him either, he usually doesn’t care about them.
Lorensson No 2
The second Lorensson mostly fights with jealous people. This constant fight results in making them his enemies. And this attitude of his pushes even the pessimistic well-wishers to behave exactly like jealous people. He is so busy fighting that he forgets about those dear ten thousand well-wishers who could be enough for him to be happy with. Because of his attitude, he eventually loses those ten thousand nice people, and some of the sixty thousand strangers, also join to fight him. Suffice it to say, this type of Lorensson doesn’t live a peaceful life.
Lorensson No 3
This Lorensson plays a little safe with his life. He mostly listens to those ten thousand well-wishers and tries to avoid the jealous and negative-minded people. He doesn’t care about those who don’t know him.
Lorensson No 4
This Lorensson mostly stays with optimistic well-wishers. Not because he wants them to praise him but he wants to get guidance and motivation from them. By doing so, he understands his weaknesses and powerful traits. This allows him to work on his weaknesses and improve his character with time.
This Lorensson has some dreams and he lives a purposeful life. He knows that some people don’t like him but he doesn’t have time for them. He is also aware that some people don’t trust his determination but he doesn’t care much about their doubts. He also doesn’t pay heed to any of those sixty thousand strangers. Instead, he tries to follow his dreams.
Eventually, this Lorensson succeeds in achieving his targets. Now, even though pessimistic well-wishers don’t trust his confidence, they don’t stop him anymore. With a tough personality and successful life, many of those sixty thousand strangers begin to admire him, and thanks to his great character, some of those jealous people also begin to like him too.
To Conclude
In life, you will come across many types of people. They can usually be divided into one of the four groups mentioned above. And each one of them will have something to say about you, your dreams, and the work you are doing. It could be positive, negative, and even neutral. That’s not the important part though. What’s important is how you react to these people and whether you allow them to have an influence on you or not.
Some of the most successful people in the world are those who keep walking their path, believing in their strengths, and having faith in their dreams. No matter what the outside world says, these people have a singular mind and they know that sooner or later they can achieve what they want. To live a fulfilling life, it is imperative that you live your life this way too. You just have one life, and you owe it to yourself to live it to the fullest!
